Advanced Life Support Assessment: Building Proficiency in Resuscitation

Overview

Learners will recognize and manage basic arrhythmias, including ventricular fibrillation, PEA, asystole, tachycardia, atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation, and AV blocks. They will also be able to manage cardiac arrest, provide basic life support, and identify and treat other life-threatening conditions such as stroke and acute coronary syndromes. Proficiency in airway management, communication as a team member or leader, and knowledge of special resuscitation situations such as drug overdose and extracorporeal CPR are also covered. The course includes termination of resuscitation and post-cardiac arrest care. Upon completion, learners will have enhanced knowledge of applying the Advanced Life Support (ALS) algorithm. This will prepare participants for the practical component of the Advanced Life support assessment.

Upon 100% completion, learners will be awarded a Certification of Completion co-signed by NUS.
